I love the composition of this scene. The tree has a surreal feel to it's angles and rhythm. It is very dream like.

I like how everything seems to be leaning towards the moon and the hill, which are obviously the focal points. The very thin points of the fence and the curl of the hill give the scene a dead, desolate, creepy feel.

I really like the idea of makeshift houses that hang off cliffs, so this one appealed to me. I love the depth that the various dwelling and tracks create. (tried to find one without the window frame)

The depth the path creates in this picture is really effective. It is really well composed and balanced. Also, with the perspective being so close to the ground it seems like the viewer is really in the scene, spying up at the character.

This is from a comic book rather than an animation background but it's still one of my faves. I love the surreal look of the city. It's so far from realty yet seems like it could still work functionally as a city in it's own world.
